- Do Not Switch it on
The urge to switch on the phone immediately you pull it out of water can be overwhelming. You should not. Instead, let it stay switched off for at least 24 hours. Keeping it this way will a long way in preventing irreparable damage from a possible short circuit.
- Pull out the Sim Card and battery
Create room for water to escape by removing any removable parts like sim cards, headphones, battery and memory cards. - Evaporate the water contents
